Floyd G. Hester, age 69, of Topeka passed away Friday, February 11, 2022 at Midland Hospice House. Floyd was born July 7, 1952 in Marked Tree, Arkansas the son of Carl and Addie (Raines) Hester. Floyd worked various jobs throughout his life: Topeka Tent & Awning, where he met his wife, Gideon Pallet Company, Yellow Cab, and with his brothers.
He is survived by his wife, Beth Hester of Topeka; four sons, Jessy (Michelle Aenk) Lake, Gary Lee (T.J.) Hester, Floyd G. Hester, Jr. and Christopher West; a daughter, Addie Hester; two stepbrothers, Jimmy and Floyd Clifton Price; an ex daughter-in-law, Angela Lake; 16 grandchildren and two great grandchildren, and sister, Rosie Lee Price. Floyd enjoyed sci-fi movies, art and listening to music.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour before from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., also at the funeral home. Interment will be at the Rochester Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the Davidson Funeral Home to assist with the funeral expenses. www.davidsonfuneral.com
