Faye was born March 25, 1932 in Vinita, OK to Harry B. Miles and Mabel Thelma (Brown) Miles. Faye was a remarkable individual whose life was a tapestry woven with compassion, diligence, and spirited warmth. Faye emerged into a world that was defined by the struggles of the Dust Bowl and the Great Depression, yet she faced life’s trials with an unwavering spirit and a disciplined heart.
Faye’s legacy is as much about her love for family and friends as it is about her remarkable organizational skills. She was known for her ability to bring order and beauty into everything she touched, often helping her first husband, Orval Buck with house-building floor plans that showcased her creative flair. Faye thrived in the company of others, forging lasting friendships throughout her life, notably her life-long bond with her dear friends Ivajean and Ardeth. Loyal friendships that remained steadfast through until her death.
Her greatest strength was her selflessness. Without hesitation, Faye exceeded what was expected and needed of her. She was a devoted caregiver to her family, always prioritizing their needs above her own. Faye’s kindness resonated deeply, and those who knew her will remember her not just for her considerations but for the meaningful conversations that flowed effortlessly from her lips. She easily connected with others, sharing stories and wisdom that enriched the lives around her.
Faye’s family mourns her passing, cherishing the memories of a woman who did not shy away from challenges but instead met them head-on with grace and bravery.
She is survived by her daughter, Rhonda (Glen) Wiersch of Colorado Springs, CO.; her sons, Brian (Karma) Buck of Oregon, MO, and Galen (Patty) Buck of Topeka, KS. Her beloved grandchildren: Shaun Hill, Ryan (Kate) Hill, Krissy (Dale) Prussman, Amy (Owen) Bender, Summer Borlik, Eric Wiersch, John (Mallory) Wiersch, Jordan Wiersch and Sarah (Jeff) Rosenberry.
