Beth, 96, of Loveland, Colorado went home to be with her Lord on July, 11, 2025.
Beth was born September 16, 1928 at Hyannis, Nebraska to C.R. and Elizabeth (McKune) Tichenor. Her family lived in Nebraska until 1939. They then moved near Hoyt, Kansas. She attended Point Pleasant grade school and graduated from Hoyt High School. She also attended Kansas City Bible College.
Beth had several jobs during her life including professional photographer at Nenstiel Photography. She enjoyed quilting and won a blue ribbon with her Irish Chain quilt at the Larimer County Fair in 2024. She was a huge fan of KU Basketball.
She loved Jesus and accepted Him as her Savior at a young age. Her parents were Christians who taught the family about Jesus Christ every day. She recently enjoyed reading and studying prophecy. Growing up, Beth loved to sing and play the old hymns on the piano while the family sang and played their various instruments.
Beth was a member of First Southern Baptist Church in Topeka, Kansas. She loved the Jewish people and enjoyed giving to Jewish charities. David Jeremiah became her ‘at home’ pastor. Her faith in God’s love carried her throughout life; even to the very end, as she confidently proclaimed His love until it was her time to be going home.
Beth was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend who inspired and touched many lives with her love for Jesus Christ. She is now free from her earthly struggles and is joyfully worshiping her Savior in heaven.
She loved living with her daughter, Charla Compton, and son-in-law, Charles for the last 5 years in Colorado. All the trips to the mountains were a great joy to her and she took hundreds of photos of elk and moose! Charles and Charla provided exceptional care that helped her thrive in her final years.
Beth loved her family. She married James Mullins, from Pound, Virginia, and they had 5 children; Becky Jo, Charla Sue, Mark Douglas, Debbie O and Kimberly Anne. She had 13 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, 6 brothers; George, Lee, Edwin, Roy, Calvin and Allen, 1 sister Ruby, her daughter Kimberly and 4 grandchildren; Craig, Dwight and twins Jared and Jeremy. She had many dear nieces and nephews.
All of Beth’s family and friends are invited to her memorial service at 11:00am on July 22nd at Parker-Price & Davidson, 245 NW Independence Avenue, Topeka, Kansas. Reception will follow immediately.
