Earlene Pearl Wasson

Earlene Pearl Wasson, age 86, of Topeka, went to join our Heavenly Father on April 19, 2022.  She was surrounded by her family at her home in Topeka.  Earlene was born February 13, 1936 in Ozawkie, KS the youngest of four children born to Earl and Freeda (Bledsoe) Davis.  She attended Westward Elementary School and Valley Falls High School.  She married Howard Wasson (USAF) December 22, 1955.  He preceded her in death August 8, 2010.  She worked at various nursing homes later in life.  She also worked as a cleaning maid for many families in the Topeka area.  Earlene enjoyed family gatherings, traveling with her husband, and taking care of her grandkids.  Earlene had a passion for animals, especially dogs and horses.  She leaves behind her two dogs, Dolly and Cleetus, whom she loved very much.

She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jayne Anne; a brother, Orville Davis; and a sister, Charlene Larrison.  She is survived by a son, Howard (Benna) Wasson, Jr. of Maple Hill, KS; a daughter, Pat (Tim) Wasson-Guffey of Topeka; a sister, Bonnie Jean Jones of Meriden; two grandchildren, Howard III and Robyn Anne (Patrick); and a great grandson, Connor.  Also surviving is a good friend, Salome Ngure, a dear friend and caretaker, along with several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Horse Plus Humane Society, P.O. Box 405, Hohenwald, Tennessee  38462.
