Dorothy Mathews

Dorothy Mathews, 97, of Topeka went home in the arms of the Lord on December 2nd, 2022. She was born on November 28th, 1925 in LeRoy, Kansas to Melvin & Vera Quiggle. Dorothy graduated from LeRoy High School. She married her spouse of 63 years, Ralph Mathews in September of 1947 at LeRoy, KS. Prior to the birth of their 2 children, Dorothy worked as a bookkeeper for John Morrell & co in Topeka. Dorothy & Ralph were members of Highland Heights Christian Church.
Surviving Dorothy are her two children, son Mark (Stephanie) Mathews and their child Kim; and son Robert (Linda) Mathews and their children Rebecca (Holden) Correll & Katherine (Alex) Gunn. Also surviving are two Great-Grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 9th, from 1-2pm at Highland Heights Christian Church, 2930 SE Tecumseh Rd, Tecumseh, KS 66542. A Funeral Service will follow. Private burial will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions can be made to Highland Heights Christian Church.
