Dorothy Emma Jones (Honig) passed away peacefully in her apartment at Brookdale memory center on December 29, 2025. She was born the youngest of seven children of Frederick Honig and Emma (Brunkow) Honig on January 2, 1927 in Onaga, Kansas, where she grew up and graduated from Onaga Rural High School in 1944.

She trained in and developed a talent for bookkeeping. This came in quite useful in the businesses of City Auto Supply and Jones Automotive, which she owned along with her husband, John H.F. Jones.

She was an enthusiastic member of the Topeka First Presbyterian Church and the Delta Theta Chi Sorority.

She is survived by her children, Charles H. Jones (Stacy) of Tecumseh, KS, and Helen A. Clark (Scott) of Longmont, CO, as well as her grandson John C. Jones (Kim) of Tecumseh, KS, and great-grandsons Aiden J. Jones and Evan J. Jones.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 2, 2026 at Parker-Price & Davidson, 245 NW Independence Ave., Topeka, KS 66608. Burial to follow Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Ascend Hospice or First Presbyterian Church.
