Dorothy L. Booher of Topeka was born March 10, 1931 in Wichita, Kansas the daughter of Sara E. and William A. Palmer. She was raised in Wichita and graduated from Wichita West High School. Dorothy moved to Topeka in 1966. She worked various jobs throughout her life, Boeing in Wichita, Kansas; administration office for USD 501 in Topeka, Kansas; billing administration for Jostens in Topeka and then she was a receptionist for the Kansas Historical Society in Topeka.
She loved to square dance. She spent many nights at Croco Hall square dancing. She would go on road trips with her square dance club, Sunflower Squares. She enjoyed traveling on bus tour with groups of people her own age.
She is survived by her two children, Brock (Teresa) of Topeka and Cindy (J.D.) Wade of Eskridge, Kansas; five grandchildren; Brandon Booher of Topeka, Cory Booher of Topeka and Danielle Booher of Olathe, Kansas, Kristie (Matt) Eakes of Eskridge and T.J. (Tulsa) Wade of Lawrence; great-grandchildren, Kenadee Booher and Brooklynn Booher; and a special niece who came to live with Dorothy and her family, Gena Payeur of Clyde, Kansas.
Dorothy was preceded in death by parents and her brother Irvin Palmer and his wife Nadine.
Family will greet friends starting at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 10, 2025 at Parker-Price & Davidson, 245 NW Independence Ave., Topeka, KS 66608. Funeral Service to begin at 11:00 a.m. Burial to follow at West Lawn Memorial Gardens in Topeka.
