Donna Marie Brandenburgh, 87, of Topeka, passed away Monday, July 6, 2026.

She was born January 12, 1939, in Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of Don and Carrie (Peyton) Metzger. She attended Topeka High School.

She married Donald Brandenburgh on April 6, 1956 in Topeka, KS.

Donna dedicated over 15 years in the Mailroom at Jostens Publications.

Family meant the world to Donna and she cherished every moment spent together. She loved them fearlessly and people knew not to mess with her family because she would get a little spicy if you did.

She enjoyed playing cards with family and friends. Donna enjoyed taking many bus trips after retirement. She had a knack for collecting cookie jars and various frog figurines. She was a master in the kitchen, but people will miss her wonderful Pineapple Upside Down Cake, Popcorn Balls, Banana Cake with Peanut Butter frosting and her breakfast sausage balls.

She leaves behind her children, Tommy (Jeanine) Brandenburgh, Linda Chalender and Michael Brandenburgh; eight grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren; sister in law, Wanda Metzger and close friend, Charlene Watts. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Brandenburgh; granddaughters, Tracie Nelson and Crystal Heston; great granddaughter, Reina Heston; her parents and siblings, Margie Erickson, Walter Metzger, JoAnne Franks, Sue Bigham, Dean Metzger and Darlene Maley.

A memorial visitation will be held from 5:00pm-7:00pm on Thursday, August 13, 2026 at Parker Price and Davidson Funeral Home, 245 NW Independence Ave., Topeka KS. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am., Friday, August 14, 2026, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to LULAC Center for Senior Citizens 1502 NE Seward Avenue, Topeka, KS 66616.
