Don Christopher Oden

Don Christopher Oden, 63, of Topeka, passed away Saturday, July 5, 2025.

He was born February 27, 1962, in Topeka, Kansas, the son of Don and Ima Jean (Clardy) Oden. He graduated from Highland Park High School.

Don had many jobs until becoming a truck driver in 2011.

Don married Jami Erin Oden on November 18, 2006 in Topeka, KS.

He was an avid collector of sports memorabilia supporting his love for the Kansas City Chiefs and K-State Wildcats. He never missed a Saturday evening of watching UFC and MMA fights. He enjoyed riding motorcycles.

Over the years, Don became a man that accepted people for who they were and was learning to love and let people in. He took exceptional care of his animals and was a softy when it came to caring for them.

He leaves behind his wife, Jami Oden; children, Bailey Garcia, Alexa (Sebastian) Perry, Shawn Eckstein, Kylee (Joshua) Payne- Fisher and Mikaela Oden; his grandchildren, Eithyn Eckstein, Samria Hagebusch, Sophia Perry, Charlotte Perry, Dimitri Fisher and his sister, Cynthia (Drew) Dulan. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial of Don's life will be held at 11:30am, Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Topeka Church of the Brethren, 3201 NW Rochester Road, Topeka, Kansas 66617. Memorial contributions may be made to Helping Hands Humane Society 5720 SW 21st, Topeka, KS 66604.
