Derek Alan Meek

Derek A. Meek, age 61, of Topeka, passed away Monday, February 7, 2022 at his home in the Oakland neighborhood of North Topeka.  Derek was born July 30, 1960 in Topeka, the son of Rayburn “Jake” and Elizabeth (Isaacs) Meek.  Derek graduated from Highland Park High School.  He worked as a dump truck driver.  Derek loved fishing and Harley Davidson Motorcycles.

Paula Proctor preceded him in death.  He is survived by a brother, Dodd Proctor, and sisters, Dayla Cripe and Dana Stevenson, both of Topeka, and several nieces and nephews.

No services are scheduled.  His remains will be inurned at the Prairie Home Cemetery with his family at a later date.
