Delores Evelyn (Hanson) Fritch, 83, of Topeka left us to meet her Savior on February 22, 2022. She was surrounded by the love of her family.
She was born April 29, 1938 in Topeka the daughter of Bessie A. Hanson, she was her only child. At twelve years of age Walker Harrison Ray (Bart) and Faye Ray of Centralia brought Delores into their home as a part of their family.
The majority of Delores’ education was in Centralia, KS. She graduated from Centralia High School as the class salutatorian in 1956.
April 14, 1956 she was joined in marriage with her husband Carol Fritch also of Centralia, they were high school sweethearts. Their early married life they moved to Topeka, KS to raise their family. They were blessed with four sons and a daughter.
Delores actively attended Seaman Community Church in Topeka, KS. She was hard-working, loving homemaker, wife, and mother. Delores retired from BCC. She shared her time and talents in cooking, crocheting, sewing, oil painting and working in her garden. She had a passion and great knowledge of flowers; she grew beautiful flowers. She also enjoyed traveling with Carol in their RV. They often traveled with friends and family. Carol’s sisters and brothers who also had RV’s. They visited every state, but Hawaii and Alaska. She was a great mom and grandmother as well.
Preceding her in death were her mother, Walker Harrison Ray (Bart), Faye Ray, her son Douglas, and her grandson Nicholas.
She is survived by her husband Carol Fritch of Topeka; children, Dennis Fritch (Jacque), Derry Fritch (Andra), Mike Fritch (Kathy) and Marsha Gall (Todd); grandchildren, Lindsay Smith (Jermaine), Sydney Kilgore (Preston), Desiree Steele (Joe Perry), Will Fritch, Lane Fritch and Faith Fritch; great-grandchildren, Christian Smith, Kaden Smith, Rhyian Smith, Braedyn Schultz, Zander Smith, Hadley Kilgore, Carter Perry and Grahm Kilgore.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 pm on March 5, 2022 at Seaman Community Church. For driving directions to the church, go to Seaman Community Church Facebook page.
