Daniel H. Saunders

Daniel Howard Saunders, 93, of Topeka, passed away Saturday, October 10, 2026.

He was born June 11, 1933, in Gallipolis, Ohio, the son of Lester and Thelma (Dobbins) Saunders.

Daniel dedicated over twenty years to E.I. DuPont as a Machine Operator until his retirement. After retirement, he worked as a Maintenance Supervisor for Mission Towers in Topeka.

He was a faithful member of Southwest Christian Church. He also attended services at Town and Country Christian Church and Central Park Christian Church.

Daniel married Barbara Mack on November 23, 1955 in Topeka, KS. She preceded him in passing in 2019.

He is survived by his children, Randy Saunders, Gregory Saunders, and Kelly Vawter; nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service with military honors will be held at 11:00 am., Saturday, October 24, 2026, at Town and Country Christian Church, 4925 SW 29th Street, Topeka, Kansas 66614. He will be laid to rest at Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Midland Hospice.
