Dana Irene Gunn, 60, of Topeka, passed away Saturday, August 8, 2026.

She was born May 23, 1966, in Onaga, Kansas, the daughter of William and Lucille (Baxter) Griffiths. She graduated from Highland Park High School in 1984. After Highschool, Dana went on to attend Beautician school where she obtained her Cosmetology License.

Dana dedicated over 30 years to Jostens Publications where she bound books until their closing. She was a devoted member of the Jostens Teamsters Union, helping organize various activities and events for the Union. After Josten’s closing, Dana found another machine operating job that she took pride in, working for Hallmark Cards. She also began working part time at her local BP, where she loved talking with her regulars and quickly became the customers’ favorite clerk.

In her early years, Dana enjoyed playing co-rec Softball, Volleyball and Bowling. Most of her weekends were often spent at the lake, camping and boating with her friends and family. Throughout her life she loved attending Concerts and Country Music Festivals with her daughter, as she was an avid Country Music Fan. Dana enjoyed watching sports and supporting her favorite teams; The Chiefs, KU and The Royals. She loved to Read, play Bingo, and had a knack for working with computers. She adored animals, always providing a loving home for her pets. In her free time, she enjoyed getting together with her Lady’s Group, where many great memories were made playing cards and their favorite games.

One of Dana’s greatest joys in life was spending time with her daughter and granddaughter. She cherished being a grandmother and never missed an opportunity to attend her granddaughter’s games, recitals or events to cheer her on as her biggest fan.

Dana leaves behind her daughter, Samantha (Tyler) Miller; beloved granddaughter, Remi Miller; siblings, Danny (Janice) Griffiths and Dona Hartzell; two sister in-laws, Jackie Griffiths and Teri Woodruff. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Judy Hall, Birk Griffiths, Gede Frost and Billy "Lu" Griffiths.

A memorial ceremony will be held at 4:00 pm., Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at Parker-Price & Davidson Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 245 N.W. Independence Avenue, Topeka, Kansas 66604. Her family will greet friends and family one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Helping Hands Humane Society, 5720 SW 21st, Topeka, KS 66604.
