Dallas Lopez Schnegelsiepen Sr., age 64, of Topeka passed away Sunday, December 30, 2018 at his home in Topeka. Dallas was born March 27, 1954 in Junction City, Kansas the son of Dennie P. and Revah D. Jones Schnegelsiepen. Dallas grew up in Topeka, attending Seaman schools. He married Sheryl Yost April 20, 1973 in Topeka. Dallas worked at the I70 Auto Auction for over 15 years.
Dallas is survived by his wife, Sheryl of over 45 years; two sons, Dallas Jr. and Gregory Schnegelsiepen, both of Topeka; two daughters, Amy Schnegelsiepen of Topeka and Chelsea Dougan of Topeka; two brothers, Fernando Schnegelsiepen and Oscar Valdez, both of Topeka; two sisters, Alice Box of Hoyt and Juanita Delphene Davis of Topeka; nine grandchildren, Dalton, Nellie, Parker, Dallas III, Jabberlynn, Shelby, Thomas, Ryder, Greg and Gage and one great grandson, Korbynn. He also is survived by several nieces and nephews that he loved as his own. Dallas was preceded in death by two brothers, Vaughn and Dennis Schnegelsiepen.
Dallas enjoyed boating, riding motorcycles and listening to music. Family was very important to him and they will miss him dearly.
Celebration of life services will be Friday, January 18, 2019 from 6:30 – 9:00 p.m. at the Garfield Shelter House, 1600 NW Quincy Street, Topeka. davidsonfuneral.com.
