Cordelia "Dee" Anne Hawks

Cordelia A. “Dee” Hawks, age 86, of Topeka, passed away Saturday, March 27, 2021 at Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka.  Cordelia was born August 14, 1934 in Alexander, Kansas the daughter of Levi and Elma (Muck) Schadel.  Cordelia grew up in Alexander, graduating from high school there. She married Don Hawks April 17, 1954.

Dee was preceded in death by her sister, Imis Collins, and brother, Chester Schadel.  She is survived by her husband, Don, of over 66 years; a son, Steven Hawks of Topeka; a daughter, Linda Joy of Topeka; two grandchildren, Amber and Michael; and three great grandchildren. Cordelia had a protective devotion to her family.  She was much loved as a daughter, wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend.
