Tina and her husband owned Marvin Henry Motor Co., South 75 Auto Salvage, and numerous rental properties, retiring in 1986. Tina managed the bookkeeping, and offices for their multiple businesses.

Tina was an excellent cook. She loved the holidays and creating special memories for her large, extended family at the many gatherings she hosted. Favorites included her Thanksgiving feast, Christmas exchanges, Easter Egg hunts, 4th of July celebrations, and family reunions. She was an avid gardener, meticulously trimming her large yard and tending her beautiful flowers.

Along with her husband, she experienced many travels in the U.S. and abroad. She and her family toured numerous national parks during summer vacations. Tina and Marvin enjoyed casino trips to Vegas, Wendover, Atlantic City, and Monte Carlo. There were weekly trips to Ak-Sar-Ben horse track and the Woodlands dog track in Kansas City. Many lifetime friends and family accompanied them on their travels. Tina also enjoyed playing cards, crosswords, and country music, especially Johnny Cash.

Tina was active in the North Topeka community, frequently participating in fundraisers for the Sunrise Optimist Club. Her interest in children was also evident in the many hours she spent volunteering at her children's schools. She was always an encouraging mother figure to her children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and neighborhood kids.

She was a sports enthusiast, faithfully attending sporting events of her children and grandchildren. Her love for KSU football grew over the years, rooting the team to victory from both the stadium and her living room. During the last several years, Tina valued her friendships among the staff and residents at the McCrite Retirement Community. Tina and family are so appreciative of the wonderful care she received through the years. There, she served on the new neighbor welcome committee. She was loved by all who knew her.
