Cheryl Sue Warthen

Cheryl S. Warthen, age 70, of Scranton, passed away Sunday, July 8, 2018 at Midland Hospice Care in Topeka. Cheryl was born June 11, 1948 in Scranton, KS the daughter of Lawrence and Margaret Salsbery Hupp. Cheryl graduated from Topeka High School. She married Ralph Barnard, they later divorced. She married Mike Warthen June 28, 2008. He preceded her in death April 21, 2014. Cheryl worked as a caregiver at the Rosa Villa Care Home in Topeka for over 28 years. She is survived by three sons, Mark (Pam) Hupp of Wichita, Shawn (Kiana) Barnard of Topeka and Brad Barnard of Topeka; two daughters, Lori (Kevin) Fisher of Overland Park and Debbie Barnard of Topeka; two brothers, David Hupp of Topeka and Doug Hupp of Lansing; 15 grandchildren and one great grandson. She was preceded in death by a great grandson, Xaelan Boaldin.

Memorial services will be Friday, July 13, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home. Inurnment will be at the Overbrook Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Helping Hands Humane Shelter and sent in care of the Davidson Funeral Home. davidsonfuneral.com.
