Bruce Wayne Caudill, 59, of Topeka, passed away Tuesday, July 1, 2025.
He was born May 15, 1966, in Barstow, California, the son of Fred and Cheryl Ann (Randalman) Caudill. He was a 1985 graduate of Seaman High School and attended college in Arizona.
Bruce was an electrician for the California Electric Union later owned and operated Caudill Electric in Topeka.
He was a member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, No. 477 in San Bernardino California.
Bruce married Michelle Smith on March 27, 2004 in Topeka. They later divorced. Survivors include his daughters, Ella and Hannah Caudill of Topeka; his sister, Denise Wilton of Oregon; his brothers, Kalin Searcy of Topeka and Shannon Searcy of California and his canine companion, JJ who he took many rides with.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred Caudill and Cheryl Searcy; and his brother, Shane Searcy.
In loving memory of Bruce, who leaves behind cherished memories in the hearts of those who knew him. Bruce had a love for spending time with his daughters, supporting them wholeheartedly at their many softball games. His passion extended to various pursuits, including driving his beloved 2005 Supercharged Mustang and engaging in the art of woodworking.
An avid reader, and bowler with his brother, Kalin, Bruce also found joy in riding his bicycle and spending time at gun shows. His sense of humor, characterized by a fondness for dark humor, brought laughter to those around him. Music played a significant role in his life, with a particular fondness for rock and roll.
Bruce was a storyteller at heart, often sharing his experiences and lessons with those willing to listen. He had a love for cooking, well-known for his exceptional meatloaf (even though your burped it for days), and his skills in canning vegetables. He was a dedicated fan of the K.C. Chiefs.
His vibrant spirit, love for family, and diverse interests will be profoundly missed but forever remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
A celebration of life gathering will begin at 10:00 a.m., with a time of sharing about Bruce and the family will continue to receive friends until Noon, Monday, July 14, 2025 at Parker Price Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 245 NW Independence Ave., Topeka. Interment will follow at Rochester Cemetery, Topeka.
