Bonny L. Freeman, 93, of Topeka passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2026. She was born in Topeka on March 9, 1933 the daughter of Charles S. and Ruth V. Beebe Harris. Bonny graduated from Topeka High School with the Class of 1950. She dedicated 32 years working for American Bindery. She was a lifetime supporter of VFW, and a member of the Meriden United Methodist Church where she also served as a member of the United Methodist Women. She enjoyed music, ballroom dancing, crocheting and quilting.
She was married to Davey Jones whom she shared their children, Randy, Rodney and Tammy. He preceded her in death. She later married Theodore Spangler, they were the parents of Dale Spangler. He preceded her in death. Later she married Paul Erdman. They were happily married for over twenty years residing at Meriden. He preceded her in 1999.
Bonny is survived by her sons, Randy D. Jones and wife Mona of Wichita Falls, Texas; Rodney D. Jones and wife Terese of Leawood, Kansas; daughter, Tammy Boyd and her husband Bruce of Topeka; she is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son Dale O. Spangler in 1997; and three brothers, Charles, Donald, and Kenneth.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 am at Parker-Price and Davidson on Thursday, July 16, 2026. Inurnment will follow at the Meriden Cemetery.
