Bill Kincade

Bill Kincade, age 78, of Topeka, passed away Monday, May 23, 2022 at his home in Topeka.  Bill was born October 2, 1943 in Shannon, Mississippi the son of Frank and Anner (Raines) Kincade.  Bill married Peggy Hallmark July 20, 1980.  He worked for the City of Topeka for the Parks and Recreation Department for over 26 years.  Bill worked on the Gage Park Train amongst other maintenance jobs.  He was preceded in death by his parents and three sons, Jimmy Kincade, Chris Kincade and Dennis Hendrix; four sisters, Betty Hatley, Frances Meade, Pearl Alexander and Virginia Kincade; and three brothers, Bobby Kincade, Vicky Kincade and Everett Kincade.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy of Topeka; a son, Jason (Becky) Kincade of Topeka; two daughters, Sue (Michael) Childers of Wakarusa and Mary Hicks of Springfield, MO; a daughter in law, Kay Hindrex of Topeka; two brothers, Charles and James Kincade, both of Topeka; four sisters, Marie Snodgrass of Osage City, Lucy Wettengel of Topeka, Mary Grubich of Topeka and Diane Snoe of Topeka;six grandchildren, Jeremy Childers, Christi Wilson, Brooke Hendrix, Kylee Hendrix, Caleb Appel and Brayden Grader and four great grandchildren, Dalton Childers, Rush Wilson, Ryatt Wilson and Reese Wilson.  Bill enjoyed the Denver Broncos, shooting pool, fishing and yard work.  He loved his family and was very much a people person.  He never met a stranger.  He loved life.  He was a man that was greatly loved and will be dearly missed.

Funeral services will be Thursday, May 26, 2022 at 1:30 p.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home. He will lie in state Wednesday from noon to 8:00 p.m. with visitation from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Interment will be at the Rochester Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to Midland Hospice Care and sent in care of the Davidson Funeral Home.
