Betty Louise Russell

Betty Louise Russell, 83, of Topeka, Kansas passed away July 17, 2017 peacefully at Topeka Presbyterian Manor. Betty was born November 23, 1933, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Tommy Carson and Lily Moore. She married Robert Eugene Russell on April 4, 1953 in Paola, Kansas.

Betty worked for Highland Park High School for over 30 years as a head baker, where she later retired. Betty loved to decorate her home and was in charge of decorating many things for Highland Park Baptist Church where she attended. She loved spending time with her family and her grandchildren and great grandchild.

Betty is preceded in death by her husband and both of her parents.

She is survived by her daughter Sherrylyne (Don) Martinson of Topeka, a son Robert (Karen) Russell, five grandchildren, Cammie (Nate) Upchurch, Rachel Wooten, Kristine Russell, Chase Russell, Shaun (Emily) Martinson, one great grandchild, Kaylyn Louise, and one on the way.

Services will be held on Tuesday, July 25 at Davidson Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. Visitation will be Monday, July 24 at Davidson Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Great Lakes Caring Hospice or Presbyterian Manor and sent in the care of Davidson Funeral Home.  Interment will be at the Topeka Cemetery.
