Bernard Ray Neiberger

April 24, 1930 — September 30, 2021

Bernard Ray Neiberger, 91, of Lenexa, formerly of Meriden and Topeka, passed away Thursday, September 30, 2021.

He was born April 24, 1930, in Meriden, Kansas, the son of Leonard and Mildred S. (Rodecap) Neiberger. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean War.

Bernard was employed with DuPont later becoming Flexel, retiring in the early 90's. Prior to his years at DuPont, he was a grain inspector with CGF Grain in Topeka.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Topeka.

Bernard enjoyed spending time with his family (children, granddaughters and great-grandchildren, extended family and friends). He especially enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing and reading Western novels. He had instilled in him a strong work ethic and provided well for his family. He had a gentle soul and everyone who knew him says they were blessed by knowing him. He was a very kind man.

Bernard married Beverly J. Bradley on September 3, 1954 in Meriden, Kansas. She preceded him in death on September 8, 2019. He was also preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Virginia (Roit) Lowe; and two brothers, Junior "Doc" and Marvin Neiberger.

Survivors include his daughter, Lisa (Jim) Wilms, Lenexa, KS; his son, David Neiberger, Carmel, CA; two granddaughters: Salena (Justin) Orr, Olathe, KS and Laurie (Jacob) Powell, Manhattan, KS; four great-grandchildren: Nathan Orr, Kaylee Orr, Madilyn Powell and Callie Powell; sisters-in-law, Joyce Rodgers and Shirley Neiberger Tripp; brother-in-law, Richard Bradley; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 9, 2021 at the Parker-Price Funeral Home with funeral services to follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at Meriden Cemetery. To view the service live, please click on this link: On Room Live Streaming
