Barbara Jean Clovis, 76, of Topeka, passed away Saturday, August 15, 2026.
She was born January 20, 1950, in Chanute, Kansas, the daughter of Kenneth and Leta (Sinclair) Patterson. She graduated from Chanute High School in 1968. She earned her CNA and CMA licenses after graduation.
Barbara married Larry Clovis and they were married for 40 years.
She was an avid Kansas City Royals Fan, but also enjoyed watching the KU Jayhawks and the Kansas City Chiefs. Barbara loved to read and spend time on her patio enjoying the summer flowers. She ventured over to the God’s Store House, where she would browse for recycled treasures.
She leaves behind her husband, Larry Clovis; daughter, Linda Adams; her grandchildren, Alison Adams and Steven (Thalia) Adams; great grandchildren, Rylie Rosencutter and Kyson Adams as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents,; siblings, Oren Patterson, Kenneth "Cookie" Patterson, Carolyn Heptig and Deanna Barnhart.
