Arden C Bayless

Arden C. Bayless, 94, of Topeka passed away on Tuesday, June 3, 2025. Arden was born September 1, 1930 in Eskridge, Kansas. His parents where Walter and Minnie Baldwin Bayless. Arden served his country in the United States Air Force four years and was a veteran of the Korean War. He returned to Topeka and worked at Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in Topeka. Arden retired after 30 years at Goodyear. He was a member of the United Rubber Workers Union, now part of the United Steel Workers Local #307.

While in the Air Force he met and married Michiko Tomiyama in Tokyo, Japan on August 15, 1948. They were married 71 years and 9 months before she passed away on May 11, 2020.

Arden and Michiko raised four children, Calvin Bayless, Arleen Bayless, Cliford Bayless and Deloris Thompson. Four grandchildren survive as well as 11 great grandchildren.

Preceding him in death are his wife, parents, grandchild and one great grandchild.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, June 9, 2025 at Parker-Price and Davidson Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, 245 NW Independence, Topeka KS 66608. Inurnment will be in Foster Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Midland Hospice, 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka, Kansas 66606.
