Anthony Salzano

Anthony (Tony) Salzano died suddenly and unexpectedly at his home in Tecumseh KS on Nov 8, 2023.  He was born in the Bronx NY to Anthony and Angelina.  He had fond memories of his time near and around Arthur Ave and his childhood friends. Tony joined the navy and spent time on the YORKTOWN and the FORRESTAL often sharing stories of his travels to the mediterranean and his time while stationed in Key West.  He married Elizabeth Murphy in May of 1984 and raised two sons, Michael and Thomas.  Tony and Liz met in Massachusetts where their boys were born.  They moved to Vermont in 1995 and to Kansas in 2006.

Tony had a passion for hunting and being in the woods.  He spent many years hunting with family and friends at a hunting lodge in upstate New York.  He also enjoyed spending time on the lake with his family, especially his grandchildren.  He was fiercely protective of all the people in his life and kept a watchful eye on his neighborhood.  He was known for his quick wit and being a good natured prankster.

Tony was preceded in death by his parents and a grandchild, Logan.  He is survived by his wife Elizabeth; sons Michael (Lauren) Salzano of Manassas VA, Thomas (Ashli) of Tecumseh KS; 4 grandchildren Ethan, Mason, Conor, Hayden and one more on the way; brother Michael (Donna) of FL and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
