Aloha M. Steinbring, age 88, of Topeka, passed away Thursday, November 8, 2018 at her daughter’s home in Topeka. Aloha was born November 13, 1929 in Hanston, KS the daughter of Alfred and Winona Ewy. She graduated from Jetmore High School. She married Eugene Steinbring August 3, 1947 in Hanston, KS. He preceded in death in 2010. She was also preceded in death by a grandson who died in infancy, Samuel Steinbring. Aloha grew up and lived most of her life in the Hanston area. She worked alongside her husband as a farmer. They were members of the Hanston United Methodist Church. In 2002, they moved to Wamego, KS. Aloha is survived by a son, Terry (Jody) Steinbring of Manhattan, KS; a daughter, Randy (Gerry) Hassler of Topeka; six grandchildren, Dede Kaempfe, Ryan Salmans, Nisa Rittman, Heather Coulter, Jesse Steinbring and Jake Steinbring; five great grandchildren, Madison , Harry, Jack, Tayler and Tyler and three great great grandchildren, Alivia, Kinsley and Kameron.
No services are scheduled at this time. Memorial contributions may be made to Kansas Palliative & Hospice Care or American Cancer Society, and left in care of the Davidson Funeral Home, 1035 N. Kansas Ave. Topeka, KS 66608. Because of Eugene's service in the Navy during WWII, Aloha and Eugene will be laid to rest at Leavenworth National Cemetery in Leavenworth, KS in the spring. Service date and time are pending at this time.
