Alice J. Kaesewurm

Alice “Jean” (Catt) Kaesewurm, 89, of Topeka, passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2025.

She was born November 30, 1935, in Willard, Kansas, the daughter of Benjamin Harrison and Tressie Mae (Pendleton) Catt.

Jean was a stay at home mother in her earlier years and later worked for Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka until retiring.

Jean married Alvin Kurt Kaesewurm on June 14, 1951 in Topeka, Kansas. He preceded her in death on September 11, 1991. Survivors include four children, Danny (Kathy) Kaesewurm, Candy Arndt, Ray (Marion) Kaesewurm and Alvin (Cynthia) Kaesewurm all of Topeka; two grandchildren, Connor Cunningham and Branwyn Kaesewurm; and a great-granddaughter, Aurora Cunningham; and her sister, Iona Morris.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and seven siblings.

Jean loved her family especially grandchildren and great-granddaughter and enjoyed reading, cooking and spending time with family.

Honoring her request, cremation is planned. A celebration of life ceremony will be held at a later date. Please check back for more information. Inurnment will be at Valencia Cemetery, west of Topeka, KS.
