Alanna Faye Hill passed away peacefully on May 5, 2025, at the age of 74. Born on March 23, 1951 to Orval Charles Buck and Faye Ann (Miles).

Alanna grew up in Topeka, KS and graduated from Seaman High School in 1969. After attending Clark's School of Business, Alanna moved out to Ohio to pursue a career in court reporting. She eventually settled in North Canton where she lived for over forty years. Alanna retired in 2016 after serving for thirty years at the Stark County Courthouse in Canton, OH. Several years later, Alanna moved out west to Phoenix, AZ and then eventually back to her hometown of Topeka, KS.

Alanna's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with threads of kindness, warmth, and unwavering love for those around her. Her strong faith and trust in God was her guiding light through life's many trials. Alanna had a huge heart and was always thinking of the well-being of those around her. She never missed an opportunity to help or support others in any way that she could. Her cheerful, kind, and positive spirit lit up the lives of everyone who knew her.

Christmas held a special place in her heart, and she always made the most wonderful time of the year even more wonderful for her children. Alanna delighted in decorating, wrapping gifts, playing Christmas music, and driving her children around to look at neighborhood Christmas lights. Her enthusiasm for the season created cherished traditions that will be remembered forever.

Alanna is preceded in death by her father, Orval. Alanna is survived by her mother, Faye Elliott of Topeka, KS, her two sons, Shaun Hill, Sandusky, OH and Ryan (Kate) Hill, Prattville, AL and her grandchildren: Rayna, John, Wyatt, and Devon Hill. Her sister, Rhonda (Glen) Wiersch, Colorado Springs, CO, and her two brothers, Brian (Karma) Buck, Oregon, MO and Galen (Patty) Buck, Topeka, KS.

Alanna found great joy as a mother and grandmother. Known affectionately as "Granna," she always delighted in the company of her grandchildren. Throughout her life, Alanna maintained close ties with her mother and siblings. Together, they created many wonderful memories framed by love and support.

Alanna Faye Hill will be remembered for the kindness, laughter, and joy she shared with others as well as the deep love she had for her family and friends.

A family graveside service to honor Alanna will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery, 4700 SW 17th Street in Topeka, Kansas, on May 14, 2025, beginning at 1:00 p.m.
