Willie B. Clayton, age 77, of Topeka, passed away Monday, October 17, 2016 at his residence at the Rose Villa Care home. Willie was born on December 24, 1958 in Alexandria, Louisiana to Rock Clayton and Edna Faye.
Willie grew up in Alexandria, Louisiana. He later moved to Denver, Colorado for a short while, and then settled in Topeka, Kansas. Willie served in the U.S. Army, where he worked as a cook. He also was an avid member at the Second Baptist Church in Junction City.
Survivors include his companion of over 13 years, Kathleen Wells. His daughters, Lizzie Skillern, Marketa Tikandier, and Priscilla Clayton. Sons, Tracy Williams, Wiley Harris, and Andre Clayton. Brothers, Julius Georgie and James Rogers. Sisters, Deloris Wiggins and two son-in-laws, Earnest Skillern and Don Tikandier. Willie also was apart of the lives of 13 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.
Cremation is planned and there will be a private family gathering at a later date.
