Martha Louise Surber

Martha L. Surber, age 94, of Benton, passed away Friday, December 25, 2015 at the Autumn Home Plus Care Facility in Topeka. Martha was born August 6, 1921 in Plymouth, KS the daughter of Fred and Laura Edie Bishop. She married Vernon Surber August 31, 1941 in Topeka. He preceded her in death January 30, 2006.
Martha was preceded in death by a grandson, Michael Surber May 10, 1987. She is survived by a son, Vernie (Janell) Surber of Camp Verde, AZ; an adopted daughter, Sandy Musson of Benton, KS; two adopted granddaughters, Sidney Jones Patten and Aubrey Jones; a granddaughter, Eshelle Surber; two great grandchildren Peach Ledesma and Samuel Swick and numerous nieces and nephews from the Topeka area.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home. She will lie in state Monday from noon – 8:00 p.m. with visitation from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home. Interment will be at the Clinton Cemetery.
