John Matthew Perry Powell

John M. Powell, age 21, of Topeka was killed in a motorcycle accident Sunday, July 12, 2015. John was born July 22, 1993 in Topeka the son of Evelyn Creek Powell. John graduated from Topeka High School in 2011 and then received an automotive degree from Washburn Technical School in Topeka. John was currently working for Laird Noller Ford in Topeka. John is survived by his maternal grandparents, Bob and Jackie Creek of Topeka; his mother, Evelyn Powell of Topeka; two brothers, James (Diana) Powell Jr. of Meriden and Floyd Powell of Topeka; a sister, Crystal (Julio) Powell of Topeka; along with several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. John was a very dedicated uncle, hanging out with his nieces and nephews every day. John enjoyed the Kansas City Chiefs, mustangs and motorcycles.
A memorial gathering will be Thursday, July 16, 2015 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the John Powell memorial fund, left in care of the Davidson Funeral Home.
