Pauline Fine, 90, of Topeka passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at Autumn Home Plus. She was born May 19, 1924 in Yale, Oklahoma, the daughter of Robert and Frances A. (Sharp) Rich. Pauline was raised at Yale and graduated from high school there. She married Wilburn Fine on May 28, 1948 in Cushing, OK. Mr. Fine worked for Carter Oil which after several buyouts became Exxon. They moved all over the country with his job, Illinois, Michigan, Kentucky and Louisiana . Family vacations usually consisted of going home to Oklahoma. After retiring, Pauline and Wilburn retired to Galena, Missouri. As they got older it made sense to move to Topeka near their daughter, Sharon, eight years ago. Pauline enjoyed sewing, especially cross-stitching and cooking. Survivors include her children, Sharon Meier and husband George of Topeka; sons, Gary Fine and wife Challis of Thibodaux, LA and “Bob” Fine and wife Jackie of Coppell, TX; grandchildren, Kasie Munoz and husband James, Tamara Kretzinger, Amanda Sutton and husband Jeffrey, Chris Fine and his wife Angela, Lynna Marcel and husband Jason, Wesley Fine, Andrea Fine and Robert Fine and ten great-grandchildren.
Pauline was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one brother, Elmer Rich; and three sisters, “Pansy” Dickerson, Elvie Baker and her twin, Aline Tull.
Cremation is planned. A memorial graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 23, 2015 at Prairie Home Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Autumn Home Plus, 747 NW Walnut, Topeka, Kansas 66617 or to Grace Hospice and sent in care of Davidson Funeral Home. The family would like to thank Autumn Home Plus for the great care and love given to their mom the past five years while she resided there.
