Joseph "Joe" Daniel Pasia Jr., 94, of Topeka passed away on Monday, January 26, 2015 at the VA Hospital in Topeka. He was born May 24, 1920 at Topeka the son of Joseph and Myrtle Finnie Pasia. He enlisted in the Army and served his country during World War II. Joe worked for the Santa Fe Railroad before retiring in 1980. He was a member of Kansas Ave. United Methodist Church, the Moose Lodge #555, the Arab Shrine Temple and American Legion Post 400.
He was married to Mary Alice Rogers on July 2, 1955 at Paola, Kansas. Mary Alice preceded him in death on December 17, 2010.
Joe is survived by a sister, Mary Lou Terihay in California and a numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 10:30 am Friday, January 30, 2014 at Davidson Funeral Home in Topeka. He will lie in state from noon – 8:00 p.m. with visitation from 6:00 – 7:30 pm Thursday evening at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Grantville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kansas Avenue United Methodist Church or the Humane Shelter and sent in care of the Davidson Funeral Home.
