Shirley Ann Case (Jolley) Shelby passed away on Wednesday, July 23 2014 at Midland Hospice House in Topeka. She was born September 22, 1943 to Fred and Virginia Jolley. She was raised by her grandparents Floyd and Erma Lee Case on a farm in the Elmont area. During her career she worked at Adams Business Forms, Kansas Children’s Service League as a in home foster mother, Southwest Bowl nursery attendant, USD 501 schools in food service and Town and Country Cafeteria. During her lifetime she attended church at Elmont, Pleasant Hill United Methodist and South Knollwood Baptist Church. She loved life, traveling around with her family. She loved animals, especially horses.
She married Burle Shelby on December 10, 1959. She is survived by her husband; daughter, Tammy (Jacob) Haag; son, Scott (Marcy) Shelby; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 am Monday, July 28, 2014 at Rochester Cemetery in Topeka. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 am on Monday at the Davidson Funeral Home.
