Eva Lilly Epperson

Eva Lilly Epperson, age 96, of Topeka, passed away Monday, November 18, 2013.
She married Austin Epperson in 1935; he preceded her in death in October 1987. They had 5 children; Ken (Marilyn) Epperson, Lois (Gene deceased) Melroy, Elmer (Charlotte) Epperson, Sherman (JoAnn) Epperson, and David Epperson, 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, and sister Etta Tarwater. She was preceded in death by 7 brothers, 2 sisters, and grandchildren Jamie Melroy and Stacy Epperson.
Mrs. Epperson was a housekeeper at Brewster Place for over 20 years. Eva was very active in her church, singing in the choir, a Sunday school teacher, and Deaconess. She was an avid bible student with the Menninger Bible Course.
Funeral services will be Friday November 22, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Southern Baptist Church. She will lie in state Thursday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home with visitation from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
