Robert “Bobby” Angelo Beckwith, age 65, of Topeka, passed away Saturday at his home in Topeka. Bobby was born June 21, 1948 in Topeka the son of Rolland Beckwith and Nellie Cislini Beckwith. He graduated from Topeka High School in 1966. He served in the U.S. Navy for 3 years and later in the National Guard for 3 years. Bobby served in the Vietnam War. Bobby worked as a welder for Western Foundry of Topeka. He married Barbara Place September 15, 1972 in Leavenworth. He was a member of the V.F.W., D.A.V. and the American Legion, all of Topeka. He is survived by his wife of over 41 years, Barbara Beckwith; a son, David (Angie) Beckwith; a daughter, Nicole Beckwith; two brothers, Ronnie and Paul Beckwith; sister, Linda Rafferty and a twin sister, Nellie Miller and 7 grandchildren.
Graveside services will be Friday, October 18, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the Grantville Cemetery. He will lie in state Thursday from noon – 8:00 p.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home with visitation from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Hospice Care and sent in care of the Davidson Funeral Home.
